OGO
It has become the new “must have” item for trendy women working out, with the funky packaging designed to be a cool accessory. But is there more to it than that? Or is this another “here today, forgotten tomorrow” fad?
According to the developers, OGO is single-sourced water (bottled in Germany from the Kreuzquell spring) enriched with 35% more oxygen than what you will find in average water. The oxygen level is rated at 200mg per litre, which statistically speaking is impressive.
The taste is alluring…very light and fresh compared to standard bottled water. It definitely has an airy-type sensation which goes down well, especially during or just after a workout.
The benefits as purported by the maker include improved circulation and concentration, increased vitality, and positive effects on the sheen and colour of your hair!
I conducted a trial over a week, and did notice I felt more energetic afterwards. That is hard to put down specifically to the water solely however. It did give me a feeling of well-being I have to say, and if the price was right I would continue to use it.
Naturally, it is more expensive which I find off-putting (prices will vary depending on where you are in the world obviously). It is hard not to think that a fair portion of the extra price goes towards the gimmicky packaging, which in my eyes takes away from the overall quality and sustainable useability.
Overall, if you have the extra cash to spend then I would definitely recommend it. Our bodies need all the oxygen it can get, so any extra source must have a lot of positive impacts (even if they are not to the lengths the makers claim). It does taste good, looks funky and did leave me feeling more energetic after consuming it.
However, if you are like me and operating on a budget where even tap water sometimes seems too expensive, don’t make it a priority.
OVERALL RATING: B
