Married couples...how much sex do you have?
This might be a good one for a TEW poll, but I thought we might get a better insight this way.
I have been married 5 years, have an 18 month old daughter so we are still new parents, and sex wise we maybe do it 2-3 times a fortnight.
I would love to get an insight into how much you are getting, no matter what your station in life..

Married for many, many moons and my wife and I are now free of children in the house, meaning we can walk around naked if we choose and have sex on the kitchen table if we so feel inclined. Some weeks we have sex more than a dozen times, others once or twice. I could not put an average on it, suffice to say we are very satisfied.

This is an interesting thread...don't know why I find this subject so fascinating but i do as I toy with the idea of marriage. I have some married friends who fuck like rabbits, and some who do once every full moon. Strange. Wonder what the secret is?

It ius hard to put an average on it but probably 5 or 6 times a fortnight, depending on my mans work hours (shift worker) and how I'm feeling and how we are getting along.

It varies occasionally, but on average, probably 3-6 times a week. Throw in the masturbation and oral fun and it's probably more than that!

What does it matter?
In my professional life I have met one couple who had intercourse twice a day and another who did it twice a year. The important thing is both were happy. (Both relationships were stable and healthy)
How often do you have sex?
Point well taken. It's all good if the people involved are personally satisfied.

Agreed, but I think another point is it is not just the sex in a marriage which is important but also the intimacy and connection which counts, and one of the ways, and I say just one of those ways, these are expressed is through sex.

I agree with the above points. Sex itself isn't the key thing. My first marriage failed and we had sex almost every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. My second marriage failed and we only had sex perhaps once or twice a week. It is not the key issue, and the intimacy and connection comment is 100% correct. It does make for some interesting discussion though, other peoples sex lives are interesting.

The frequency my wife and I have intercourse varies enormously depending on work etc., but probably averages 2-3 times per week.
Sex In Marriage
No apologies necessary Rob, love the discussion that has grown from what was originally a quite a light hearted question. It shows how different every relationship is, and what are the most important factors that determine success. From my perspective, and I am probably just reiterating what else has been mentioned, great and frequent sex is important but on its own will not hold together a relationship. Sure makes it a lot of fun though!!
