I have to admit that I was particularly excited when I received the opportunity to review this film. Not just because it was my first chance to check out what Club Jenna (a relatively new US studio) were coming up with at the top end of their selection, but also because a quick glance over the cast told me I could expect some very attractive and energetic sex.
In many ways, this film actually over-delivered on my expectations. The cast is, as I mentioned, absolutely blue flame hot, and that includes both the boys and girls. Top notch effort to gather one of the hottest ensembles of porn stars I’ve ever seen, and yes, it may come across as superficial but I don’t really care…I like watching attractive people fuck when it comes to XXX. It helps my experience.
I also enjoyed the move of doing away with the need for corny plots or cheesy dialogue (the “Nacho Mix”). This is an outright wall to wall sex-fest, and it doesn’t pretend to be anything other than what it is. The costumes are great and the individual dress and setting themes within each scene makes it visually delicious.
It follows in the footsteps of what is coming out of the leading production houses in Europe at the moment from the likes of Andrew Blake and Ninn Worx, and gives this particular XXX genre a touch of the good old USA which, for the most part, works spectacularly.
That’s not to say it is perfect. In fact, production wise, it has a couple of incredible flaws. Being able to hear the director giving the cast and crew directions on a couple of occasions just blew me away, and in one shot you can see crew members in the background. I rationalised this, however, by accepting it is just part of the overall product, and if you don’t let it, it won’t detract from your enjoyment of the movie. But these are a couple of amateurish foo-pahs that hopefully they can avoid in future productions.
On to the sex, which is every bit as hot and energetic and creative as I had hoped for. This is where High Definition really delivers the goods from start to finish and it left me in a horny, salivating lustful mess.
The first scene features the beautiful Lela Star and Ruby Knox double teaming a very grateful looking Charles Dera. Love the belly dancing/harem girl costumes which look fantastically sexy. They perform a great double blowjob on Charles, who doesn’t have to pretend he is enjoying it. The trio work some frenzied fuck-combinations and the conclusion involves some innovative cumplay between the girls. Great first scene which lets you know it might be a good idea to buckle up because this is going to be a wild ride!
The second scene finds a futuristic looking Roxy Jezel dancing seductively for JT and Donny Long who already have their hard cocks out and are stroking them like true studs. I really liked this…guys jerking off and that mesmerized look they get on their face is a big turn-on of mine. Another good scene with hot action that looks visually spectacular.
The next scene had the potential to be my favourite but wound up being the one I found most frustrating. To begin with, we find Lela and Mckenzee looking fabulous in Victorian period costumes, complete with those Mozart style wigs, kissing and touching each other in an impressive looking water fountain. These girls look great together, and don’t hold anything back. They are soon joined by Tony Disergio and Donny Long, and the action gets heated quickly. I am a big Tony Disergio fan…he is a classy, well built and handsome dude. Next thing we cut to an inside shot and Mckenzee has disappeared! Where did she go? Did she have errands to run? What the fuck? Lela finishes the scene and both guys in great style. She is a very believable performer; a real natural. My slight frustration went beyond the disappearance of Mckenzee; this is the scene where you can most obviously hear the director and get a glimpse of the crew in the background. Oh well, excellent performances by the actors regardless.
Lela and Renna Ryann tackle J Mac in the fourth scene. Very slutty contemporary looks for the girls, and some equally slutty dancing to seduce J Mac, but it all works very well and puts that sleazy vibe out there. Anybody who loves long sexy legs will especially enjoy this scene, with the skirts the girls wear emphasising some seriously hot pins.
My favourite scene features Roxy and Kimberly Kole teaming up on Tommy Gunn and Tony Disergio. The body tight, fetish-inspired black latex costumes they wear look incredible and show off tight bodies, especially the divine Roxy. Both of the guys do an amazing job as well; both are outright hunks with hot bodies, attractive faces and long hard cocks…yummy. The interaction between the four is passionate and innovative, and the final position, a double fucking version of the classic 69’er, is brilliant. Great energy and great chemistry set this scene apart, and it would rank amongst my favourites of all time. This scene is definitely the main event of High Definition for me, and will ensure repeated viewings.
We finish off the show in oriental style as Kara Tai, dressed in a gorgeous pink satin robe with pink stockings and white heels, completed by a classy pearl necklace, plays with Colton Jag. It is a relatively short scene and pretty much by the numbers, but still works well. This really should have been the second to last scene, however, and the previous fourway should have been the raging climax to the film.
In short, this is a winning production with a few amateurish shortcomings being well and truly made up for by a hot cast and scintillating, innovative sex. It is no Ninn Worx production, but in reality, it probably wasn’t aiming to be so slick and was going for a more “down in the dirt” style. This it achieves in abundance.
