Hello from Alecia

I've been meaning to introduce myself for a while, but real life has been getting in the way.

I've worked for newspapers as a paid writer and photographer since I was 14. I studied journalism in college and spent four years as an editor before going fully freelance six years ago. I'm a frequent writer for a well-respected (and very straight-laced) national publication, and my editor would turn 16 shades of red (and probably fire me) if he knew that I write erotica at night.

It started out as a simple way to please my lover. Publication was a natural transition for me, and he loves knowing that women read the things I've written for him.

I'm relatively new to erotica. I started writing it about a year ago, and I find myself getting more and more drawn into this world for not only the head rush, but also for the close-knit community. I'm working hard to develop a name for myself and trying to learn as much as I can. I've just started my blog, and though I know it pales in comparison to many of my favorites, I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. It's nice to be able to cut loose and unwind in the evenings from my "real" job. Since my first love is fiction, I hope someday I can leave journalism for good and just follow my heart.

You'll see me write often about my "boy." I mean him no disrespect -- he's all man and he knows it. He calls me "girl" as an endearment, and "boy" was the natural counterpart. We've been friends for years, lovers for about a year and a half, and I'm so smitten I can't see straight.

As for my avatar, I love the image of cowgirls, how tough they are, how they never let life get them down, and I've been fascinated with the West since I wrote a story in Oklahoma about cattle rustlers. Hence another pet name from my lover -- Cowgirl. I recently finished my first novel, Cowgirl Up and am now stuck with the hard part -- editing 75,000 words into 75,000 VERY GOOD words.
