About Lorne Evans

I am no stranger to the written word and the craft of writing to influence the thinking of others, but my entry to erotic storey writing is relatively new. What has influenced me are my beliefs in firstly, the importance of intimacy in a relationship, and secondly, creating this by making sex sensual—sex is the functional bit, the rest is a challenge. I suppose there is a third factor, and that is that the erotic story market is a growth market in commercial literature, although this is an aside at the moment.

There is a further challenge in stimulating a balance of interest for both men and women. In my stories my aim is to weave sex and sensuality with real relationship issues, relevant to both, and with an emotional slant—personally, I like happy endings but to be realistic they are not always possible. I am one who finds that pleasure is derived from giving pleasure and hopefully my life experiences and the understanding developed will serve me sufficiently to create such themes of interest.

I suppose being British and a man could also be a challenge in relating to a wider audience, and my background experience in the hard schools of politics and business needs to be emotionally softened. In this context, for me, there will always be a question of how far to let the imagination roam; but was it not said that imagination is three quarters of creation—something to work on, I guess!
